Adidas sold four times as many World Cup jerseys as the last tournament, with Mexico the top seller
Adidas moved four times the football shirts it sold at the previous World Cup and doubled ball sales, putting tournament-related revenue near 1.5 billion euros, the high end of its own forecast. Mexico led all 14 national teams Adidas kitted out, with finalists Spain and Argentina next, and Spanish demand looks set to keep climbing after the July 19 final. If you want the winners' shirt, Adidas is readying a second-star Spain kit for pre-order from August 4.
